Walkaround

These services are only available during the summer.

Walkaround (a.k.a. strolling) entertainment typically involves one or several performers doing a series of performances either in one area or moving throughout the grounds.  This is our most popular service, and is well suited to fairs, theme parks, university and corporate events and any other event in a large area that involves people coming and going.

The style of performance is typically similar to street performance, as the performer(s) set up an area, gather a crowd, and perform a short show (5-10 minutes).  The small crowd is then free to move on and enjoy other activities at the event.  This show is repeated throughout the day (usually 2-4 hours) with short breaks between shows.  Some types of performance may have a slightly different format, such as unicycle or children's entertainers, which may not involve shows, but rather ride or stroll around the grounds and interact with the public.  In any type of performance, style, costume, and other details may be customized to your event.

Skills available for walkaround are solo or group juggling, slackrope (which cannot move), balloon animals, various manipulation skills (diabolo, devilsticks, balancing, etc.), and unicycle.  Combination acts are often available as well.  Fire performance may be hired for an extra fee if safety conditions are met.  For shorter engagements, contortion may also be available, alone or alternating with other skills.

The most recommended walkaround package is two jugglers for two to four hours.  However, if available, you may hire up to four performers for up to six hours per day, with a minimum of two hours for gigs outside the greater Indianapolis area.

Fees are calculated per hour per juggler, with discounts for greater numbers of jugglers and hours.  There may also be a discount if other services (stage show or workshops) are also purchased.  Fees are negotiable and depend upon the venue and client's specifications.  Please e-mail us with your preferences, event details, and contact information at least two weeks before your event for an estimate and to answer any questions you may have.
